I don't know how you plan to put the files onto the external disk without software in the middle? Otherwise, you need to get a disk that reads your Compact Flash card.

Be sure to get something with a fast transfer rate, otherwise it will take forever to dump your images. There are lots of portable hard drive options out there, the most important feature (in my opinion) is the transfer rate. and would like to avoid taking a bunch of 16GB CF cards I won't be using again. Reason is i'm going on a month long trip to asia, and am having storage issues. Ĭan I plug my 5d mk ii into 2.5" external hard drive and download the photos directly onto it ?
